Golfers Elbow
Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis) is characterized by pain over the outer side of the elbow, while Golfers Elbow or Medial Epicondylitis is a condition where pain is experienced around the inner side of the elbow. Golfers Elbow is often felt doing every day actions such as turning a handle or gripping something, while Tennis elbow is often related to work activities or lifting something relatively heavy.
Both injuries can be treated with relative rest, strapping to offload the inflamed /irritated tendons, and a combination of acupuncture and a specific exercise routine to get you back to full function.
If necessary, your Physiotherapist would be happy to consult with either your GP, or our own, on appropriate anti-inflammatory medication as required.
